Task Providing a test and development environment for application developers with the help of Metaframe XPe, conception and implementation of the productive environment. Solution The conception and realization of a completely automatic installation system of a Metaframe XPeFR3 development and test environment within Windows Server 2003 Terminal services. Besides the automatic installation of operating systems the project also includes hardware recognition, an automatic Disaster Recovery of the Metaframe data banks, the completely automatic generating of the Serverfarm and of the Published-Applications and management systems for Metaframe Administrators. The software distribution is arranged by Netinstall 5.56. Due to the high level of automation an introduction into the production can be easily achieved. Future A centralized approach minimizes administrative and allows fast, central software distribution to all decentralized locations.
