Task:

Installation of Metaframe XPe Presentation Server based on Windows 2000 based on 10 locations all over Germany including a central management of the Application set.

Solution:

sepago has designed a Serverbased Computing environment which puts the complex demands of a telecommunication company dynamically and functionally into practice. The challenge with this implementation was the supply of a central management solution which can be installed in all 10 locations in Germany and which includes a high scaling system. Further on our client attached great importance to the installation of a Disaster Recovery program to re-use the servers concerned as fast as possible in case of a fault. The development of the complete environment includes:
  • Customizing the server platform based on Windows 2000 including complex security adaptations.
  • Automatic generating of the server farm and all other implementations such as Published Applications, Print Drive, etc.
  • Complete Disaster Recovery of Metaframe XP server farm.
  • Integration of a dynamic desktop managed from a center.
  • High scaling of the environment by simply clicking new servers can be installed all over Germany.
  • Provision of a management concept including Admin manuals and detailed change management processes.


Future:

Expansion of the solution including further applications at the 10 locations in Germany.
